This is branded content at its finest and has merit as both a documentary and advertisement. No wonder it was shortlisted at the Cannes Lion Awards in the category of long form branded content. Produced by Vice, we followed Pharrell’s journey to Tokyo to explore how artists and thinkers responded to the 3/11 tsunami and Fukushima nuclear meltdown. The documentary was part of a series which also included Detroit Lives, starring Johnny Knoxville. The project was widely praised and set the standard for great, meaningful branded content.
